I was previously using a static set of images with thumbnails generated as part of the build, which was all freely delivered via Cloudflare Pages, might have to re-introduce a caching layer if the bill gets out of hand. This maybe could have been understandable if I had ~4M deliveries of the original image, but I am guessing 95% of this traffic is users looking at thumbnails (~20-30kb). I had assumed that "delivery" was the first time the variant was delivered (since it would later be cached), but I seem to be getting charged for each view of the image. Optimize your WordPress site by switching to a single plugin. Looking at my Cloudflare bill, I only have ~300 uploaded images ($5 per 100,000), but 4,293,209 images delivered ($1 per 100,000 deliveries), which comes to $43 USD for the month of January. 9 per additional 50,000 resizing requests. 05 per 10k good requests Load Balancing Load Balancing safeguards from service disruptions with local and global traffic load balancing, geographic routing, server health checks, and failover, ensuring the continuous availability of your critical resources. Cloudflare Images ships with a default public variant, but you can create up to 100 variants to fit your needs. Variants let you specify how images should be resized for different use cases. More specifically, it's the "Images Delivered" portion that seems extreme. Resizing images in Cloudflare Images works by creating variants of your image. imgix makes it easy to crop images online and deliver them fast to visitors. (Optional) Select WebP. Under Polish, select Lossy or Lossless from the drop-down menu. Go to Speed > Optimization > Image Optimization. Does anyone know if this is something Cloudflare is working on before I explore other options? Resize images automatically, on upload, with imgixs image optimization service. Open external link and select the account and domain where you want to activate Polish. I used Cloudflare Images for one of my side projects as it saved me a lot of dev time from having to build my own solution, but the pricing seems rather extreme.
